Out doing an interview with Collider, producer Frank Marshall revealed he would like to see Jurassic Park 4 hit theaters “within two years”. Overall, Marshall’s goal is to release it during the summer time of 2014.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver were recently hired to pen the script and now the task begins of finding a director. Marshall confirmed the film will not be a reboot or remake, but did hint that thanks to advancements in CGI technology, we may see full CGI and photo-realistic dinosaurs. This would mark the first time CGI would be fully used in the Jurassic Park films as the previous films used life-size props and animatronics to create the dinosaurs.
“That’s what’s gonna be great about it, technology’s taken a leap now that we can really do some great things,” Marshall said.
